On August 19th 1981, he landed in Syracuse, N.Y., from the emigration camp in Traiskirchen, Austria, where he was granted political asylum from the US Embassy in Vienna, Austria in 1980, and became a U.S. citizen in 1986. Mr. Zalech, has founded and served companies operating domestically and internationally. Mr. Zalech, completed a 2 years computerized accenting curriculum with the aid of the Polish-English dictionary with the “B” score, and number of professional income tax courses.

  • Husky Energy

    • Mark, is an Engineering Executive with extensive experience supervising successful high performing teams in a wide variety of technological fields including oil refining, waste conversion, gas processing, upstream/offshore oil production, CTL, LNG, salt cavity storage and silicon purification using fluidized beds. .

    • Mark is naturally charismatic leader and forward thinker, excelling in explaining complex matters in simple terms. Most recently, the Interface Manager on a $1bn refinery rebuild project having previously held VP Engineering for an emerging waste plastics conversion company and other senior managerial positions in Process, Projects, and Engineering.

    • With over 30 years in the Energy and Chemical industries, Mark has worked for clients such as British Gas, Genesis Eng. Consultants, Flour SA, Agylex,  Shell, BHP Billiton, ExxonMobil, Sasol, REC Silicon and most recently Cenovus (previously Husky Energy) on a billion dollars projects. He has worked from the Europe, Africa and now resides and works in the United States.

    • Commercialized the plastics reversion technology

    • Redesigned the technology to revert styrofoam to styrene after the 2015 oil price crash

    • Maintained the team's motivation through a period of low investor enthusiasm

  • Fluor

    • Leading teams of process engineers on some $5.7 Billion of world-scale oil, gas, and energy projects.

    • $1+ billion solar grade silicon production facility

    • $2.4 billion coal to gasoline project for Outer Mongolia

    • $650+(X2) million flexicoker projects for Exxon Mobil
